It’s always your username coming up that seems to accuse all of us being lazy for not consolidating. You must be one of these 900 FOs that hasnt flown since January with all this time on your hands.
Sorry for coming off as a d!ck but like I’ve said in other threads if bidding first out, calling crew scheduling everyday, and picking up open time whenever it’s available isn’t enough to consolidate then this company is in the wrong.

So then go somewhere else, if you're in that much of a hurry. But in the next 3 of you moving between carriers, you're not going to log any time, and you'll make a lot less money in the meantime. But if it's that bad, no one is holding the door closed.

One of these days I'd love to sit next to you all while you read this and untangle the rats nest od misunderstandings you seem to wrap yourselves in.
I have said in the past if you're violating the contract purposefully you're a weasle, and if ur not able to read for yourself or get a question answered formally and correctly when theres metaphorically an unlimited amount of resources because youd rather just ask the internet your lazy.
No one at my pay grade with more than two braincells is calling this fo group lazy. Theyve literally inverted the award sheets so the most senior are flying the hardest and the most junior are struggling to fill hours. They never call in sick and all have alerts. Furthermore, we're comically overstaffed, and if we lost 200fos from furlough tomorrow no one would notice an appreciable change in their schedule.
You FOs are in a weird place for a regional, but theres a lot of good in your situation. I don't begrudge you for being disappointed it isnt what you wanted, just annoyed at your moipic view and you pointing to the wrong thing to fix it.
We do a good job our managers too, but delta keeps tossing planes at other airlines after promising us the growth. In the meantime, if you're getting annoyed or run down, blame it on who caused it at the very least.

Nope, you cant read. I said theres more pilots than flying so some might not. You go back to the SIM, fly a little, its no big deal.

Oh so simple! Just some sim flying. Not to mention another jeopardy event at the end and god knows how long of a wait for that.
I’ve worked in crew scheduling for an airline before that had consolidation issues. Management there had us buying trips off regular line FOs to get them through consolidation. Easy solution and cheaper than putting 20-30 pilots through 2/3 warm up sims followed by another LOE.
Speaking of how great management is doing, and following the contract, Dave Wilson is on the ALPA naughty list and from what I’ve heard has tried to intimidate ALPA pilots in the past. Yep, great job 9E management!

Okay bud. Justify it however you want. I’ve been putting all my energy into trying to consolidate, nothing I can do if the company blocks every chance to consolidation.

My previous company I didn't consolidate and it was on a bigger airplane with 1980s tech with no aqp. Same thing happened, i was hired for a bunch of flying that never happened.
I don't know what u did as a scheduler as your previous company but we have a contract here. So your proposed fix may not be contractual. If you have an idea spell it out to senior managers and let them kick it around, maybe some good will come of it.

So some of that was to me, some of that was to whoever talks to you in your head. I wasn't blaming you for consolidation issues. The company brought you on to "staff up" for promised growth that never happened. That isn't my fault or yours.

Maybe one of the contract gurus can correct me, but I am 99% sure our contract allows that because crew scheduling often tells me to contact OE scheduling to get them to buy off an FO so I can take their flying for the purpose of consolidation. I don’t see why it would be any different than buying off an FO to complete OE

Well I apologize for misinterpreting what you said.

As I said the contract doesn’t explicitly prohibit a buy off for consolidation, but niether does it explicitly allow a buy off- and it seams that any buy off would have to go through opentime first.
