Classes still going, sounds like towop for January and February as well. Just not enough credit to justify the amount of people on the list. Last January and February in lga I was issued lines with 50 hours of credit and 65 credit in December and no towop because their wasn't as many reserve people as their is now.
I wonder if they will try stretching the flying to offer more less than min credit lines again this time.
I am puzzled that we are still hiring. It's a good sign but it doesn't add up. Maybe they think DGI is going to be a 100% success.😄

I remember this too. I was getting one 4day trip and a 5day (2trips) for the month and done. It was pretty sweet as I commute.

You’re right, I meant to say those of us who are mid-lower pack of the reserves are bidding first out and still not getting squat.
Also at WMU guy, you must’ve used two packets of kool aid. Literally anybody who has been thru a furlough will tell you the first sign of furlough is something like this. But I’m sure you’re a high seniority line holder and couldn’t care less about little guys like us who are just getting started with our career.

You talk like you have been around so long, and then "just getting started" as well. You are a probationary pilot publicly trying to discourage prospective employees, if you continue this trend this will be the least of your worries. You've probably narrowed down who you are to quite a small sliver of the pilot group by now (less than a year, mid pack on reserve in NYC, bidding first out etc).
I am trying to say this in the nicest way. You are not nearly as anonymous on this forum as you think, pilots have been confronted with posts from social media and this forum in job interviews. You do NOT want to go to a mainline interview and have them ask what they should expect when you were advocating against a prior employer like this, especially while you were on probation. In this case you not only were doing that, but you actually started a thread actually TITLED that. The company monitors these forums and the only thing worse than my scenario above for you would be is if they identify you and decide having you on property is more trouble than it's worth.
I honestly expect you are probably a good pilot to fly with and possibly even able to be happy enough on a trip to make for an enjoyable trip. Please do not torpedo your career because you don't like a company that is staffing reserves like a mainline carrier does.

So I happen to talk to someone in management today passing through the airport on my trip. I stopped and talked to this individual and asked about TOWOP and what brought us to this and basically we are taking 20 CRJ 700’s from another carrier and in order to do this we had to have another major airline play ball and they refused leaving EDV waiting for new aircraft from consolidation until mid Oct due to contract issues. Take it for what it’s worth in my opinion if you are here just chill out things will be fine reserve is going to be long line values won’t be great but we aren’t going out of business try to ignore the guys that have gone through the last bankruptcy the PTSD is probably kicking in for them. Guys that aren’t here go elsewhere your going to sit at the bottom for a long time and if you come to EDV now upgrade isn’t going to happen for you for a long long time.

No, TOWP lines while hiring continues is NOT even remotely a sign of a furlough. It is a sign of the company trying to get really fat for something coming up. If they were prepping for a furlough they'd stop new hire classes first and THEN offer TOWP lines and THEN volunteer long term LOAs and THEN it'd be a sign that furlough could come (and even then it's not a guarantee).

Your threats don’t mean anything to me.

No one said that other than you. Your attitude is horrible. If it’s so bad here, almost every other regional is hiring.

And I'm not trying to threaten you. I am not in management or even at EDV anymore. I'm honestly trying to help you from more than a decade of experience in the industry. This really has happened to people and you have made yourself the most outspokenly negative person about EDV on this forum. It draws a lot of attention. If the idea that it's a threat is all you take from it than I leave to you your own devices.

These guys are right you know...you’re pulling out the o2 mask, deploying the rubber jungle, yanking the spoiler, disconnecting the AP and pushing the nose over because you smell fire but it’s only a fart
