Can someone give me a ballpark average for hours flown on a given day? Maybe an estimate for when on reserve and also when holding a regular line? Trying to get an estimate for what I can expect to fly in a year, on average. I really need to get my TT up. Thanks.

On the surface, maybe…
but, if they continue to have problems with short staffing, the positive space helps. By positive spacing your pilots, there is likely a significantly less percentage that miss trips due to full flights. Or at least I would think so. Just a thought.

Hard to answer. Anywhere from 500-800 hours I would guess. If you live in base, you can pick up stuff and get closer to the top end.

I bid down to reserve and fly as little as I can right now. Spend as much time with my kids as possible.
I flew 255 hours in 2019, 256 in 2020, and 200 so far this year.
But my first year here I flew about 550.

Pre-covid on the 900 at mid seniority I would do 16-18 off a month and probably ~650 hours a year. Things aren't really like that right now but will probably be a little closer to that by the middle of next year. Reserve on the 900 with people trying to fly looks like 30-40 hours a month right now but YMMV. Seems like everyone is going to the 900 lately but don't count on it.

I can't say how easy or hard it is to hold NYC as an FO but it's only on the 900 now. So if you want to be in NYC bid the 900. If you get the 200 you'll be seatlocked and won't be able to go to NYC for 18 months. If you're on reserve most stretches are around 3-5 days at a time (usually 4-5). Trips for Jr people are usually 4 days. Most Jr people can't consistently hold 5 day trips because they have a higher credit value than most 4 days right now.
I want to be sure I am reading this right, LGA is only on the 900?
Second, do you bid equipment or base first?

I'm not sure how bidding goes these days but you'll absolutely know what aircraft you're on within the first 2 weeks because you go to aircraft specific training after indoc.
