Fair enough, if I’m there within 6 months I’ll call it a win. I’ll get there when I get there. Thanks

Long call and short call. Short call you can't commute before a trip even if they assign you it within 72 hrs of your day one. They put a place holder when you're reserve starts..either 5am for p1 or 10am for p2. So even if you're assigned a trip 2 days before your day one that doesn't start til 3pm you will still have to be in by your start time. However with that said depending on your base you can commute in during your call out. Ie..atl is 2hr call out. So say you're p2 and start at 10am. You just have to be in base by noon. But you have to let scheduling know and mostly in uniform incase if you are assigned anything while you're flying in or driving. Long call is 12 hr call out so as long as you can be in base before your trip starts. Unless they put a place holder like they do with short call then I'd assume 12 hrs after being notified. I haven't done long call yet so not exactly sure if they put a place holder in like they do with short call

That helps a lot, thank you. I’m excited for the start date. What were you assigned initially after completion of OE?

I was given dtw 900 out of training. Held dtw for a year then displaced to cvg for 2 months then got back to dtw in the spring and then atl went junior and I've been there since June. Line there since July.

He forgot to mention we do also have ready reserve. 8 hour sits at the airport. Depending on base, some people volunteer for it to help with commuting. Volunteer PM RR on day one and you don't have to be in until afternoon, volunteer AM RR last day and you're done by 1300. You're limited to a certain amount per month. With how much movement we're expecting reserve times should be low and RR should be pretty spread out

How long is the callout for ready reserve? Just ASAP?
Also, a few questions about travel benefits. What priority levels do you and your parents travel at? And do non-spouse travel companions fly for free, or do they need to pay yield fare? Are there buddy passes?

Thank you, RR would make things a heck of a lot easier in regards to commuting. For everyone, how much do y’all usually credit per month before drops or pickups? I know the min guarantee is 75 but I’ve also been told that most credit quite a bit more than that after pickups and drops.

No defined time limit but basically ASAP. That next one is a loaded question ha. S3A on Delta, S3 on own metal and Republic, S3C on Skypest....west. I think parents are S3C on all. And travel companions are yield fare. No buddy passes.
