Do you usually go directly from systems to sims or have people been getting sent home a few days in between? I assume it’s based on sim availability but curious what’s been happening lately.

Within the first couple weeks after starting class. Base you might not get until sims.

Lots of factors there. Contractually you’ll have two days off for every 6 training days. They do their best to minimize gaps and get you done efficiently. I wouldn’t count on a big gap in training.

Genuine question, friend of mine interviewed and he was asked to explain the hydraulic system of the CRJ 900. With no gauge on the 900 sent by the company and no CL65 type, any reason they would ask that? What are they trying to gauge? Curious on why company approaches the interview in that manner.

A) if you did some research into the airplane before you showed up. We only fly CRJs.

or

C) what do you do when you don’t know.

I got a similar question to which my reply was: I don't know. Then they asked to explain how it worked on the airplane I currently fly, to which I did and they were happy with that. Got an offer afterwards.
