Specifically for getting into Delta would RPA or Endeavor be better?
Specifically I’ve read on forums that Delta will meter or delay pulling apps from Endeavor bc they are a partner airline. According to the forums they don’t want to affect their own operations and sometimes will hire outside of Endeavor as a result.
I have the hours to get into Delta and received an invite for their online assessment. Spent 4 or 5 days prepping, took it, and then was told “Thanks But No Thanks” (TBNT) and try again in 6 months. From reading on the Delta forum that happens all the time, so I was half expecting the TBNT email…but it still was a lousy weekend after getting that email. I still would like to work for Delta, but I just want to make sure that by working for Endeavor I won’t be hurting my chances of getting hired by Delta. Also, I live in Atlanta, so that would avoid commuting since Endeavor has a base in Atlanta.

Two schools of thought on this -
1) If it absolutely has to be DAL, at EDV you will eventually end up there. Might take 5-6 years, but you will get there.
2) Going to a non-DCI carrier, you may not be successful in OTS. It does happen, but they like hiring pilots from competitors more than their own feed. Could be the magic sauce, but it may not pan out. If you need ATL, NK, F9, WN - all have ATL bases and if DL never calls it’s a career airline.
If it’s XY vs 9E - they meter both, one of those companies has a guaranteed job at the end, the other is a guaranteed app score/ (interview now?). Only you can decide what’s best - I suggest LLCs with an ATL base. WN is unlikely to ever close ATL, F9/NK who knows.
Good luck.

So just to be clear on this metering stuff with Endeavor and Delta...I was invited to do the Delta Online Assessment, got told TBNT and try again in 6 months. If I go to Endeavor then Delta will not allow me to try the Delta Online Assessment again and even if I pass they will not give me an interview since I will be in a DCI Carrier?
I would not want to wait 5 or 6 years by the way.

The management perspective must be to drive young pilots to your competition if they eventually want to fly for you…

Exactly. I met with a recruiter the other day, and was told flat out, they won’t hire me because I work for Endeavor. And, I quote, “as pilots, we all look at things one way, but you have to look at it from a management perspective”.

Quick question, the cjo from Endeavor that I have, how long is it valid for? I've heard it's 6 months with other regionals.

If you come to Endeavor you will not get to Delta outside of the flow unless you are a Propel Program Pilot. They are the only ones moving to Delta currently outside of the flow. Interviews of Endeavor pilots to Delta OTS have been stopped until at least Feb 2023 at the earliest and currently there are 40+ Endeavor pilots that have been offered CJO’s to Delta that are not being offered class dates and are sitting in limbo. Talking to a buddy of mine who is one of those pilots he says whenever he reaches out to Delta for a status update they ignore him or tell him they will contact him when they have more information. Skywest and Republic pilots are being given class dates or projected class dates. This hiring will not last so if you want to get to DL go to an American regional carrier they are getting classes within 6 weeks of a successful interview. Also if another downturn in the industry comes as a result of the flow every pilot at Endeavor is at risk of being furloughed as the flow came with a flow back clause for Delta pilots that face furlough at mainline to take a regional pilots position. Go to any other regional EDV is not worth your time.
