I would actually stay away from regionals with 50 seaters regardless if they have a flow agreement or not. I predict when the music stops, the WOs (ENY and PSA specifically), EDV, SkyWest, Horizon Air (maybe?), and Republic will be standing. Where no one should want to be is at a 50 seater Aviate regional.

Nothing is guaranteed in this business. When you retire, you’ll look back on your career and only then will you realize of what you chose was the right decision.

Default RPA vs. EDV

I want to get others opinions while I have to make a decision soon. I currently have an offer from both RPA and EDV. I am 21 years old and will live in ATL. Both class dates are early Sept. I would obviously eventually get the ATL base for EDV and would get the DCA base for RPA. I have family in DCA so it would be an ideal commute situation. Overall goal is definitely Delta. From what I have seen I would get there faster through RPA. Is it worth it to "risk" it and go with RPA in this situation to get to Delta faster? Or do I accept waiting at EDV?

Overall is delta? Go to an AA wholly-owned instead. But if you must pick one..edv for the atl base.

Go with the airline that will get you there the quickest. Any regional is a gamble. It’s not if the music stops, it’s when. Don’t wait around in any airline. 2-3 years with RPA. 5-7 years with Endeavor.

Republic training program is good. They have a written KV which is what all airlines should do.

As others have said, if the ultimate goal is DL. Go to either an AA WO, or go to commuteair/gojet. However, the music will stop at some point, and when it does, the big question is, where would you rather be stuck. At one of those other regionals, or at endeavor living in base in ATL? That’s the question to ask.

If the music stops, you really want to be at a carrier that sells their own tickets not an ffd

Go to EDV and enjoy living in base. Then apply off the street to Delta and the ULLC's once you've got 500 plus hours. If hired by an ULCC first you'll suddenly become much more attractive to Delta; this is probably the fastest way there.

At EDV, worst case scenario you're 28 when you flow to Delta. At RPA you'll still be a Captain there.

This. Apply to Spirit/Frontier for ATL in the meantime and keep plugging away.
