It might sting to hear a little…. But can you imagine applying to Endeavor, going to an interview mid covid, and then getting the TBNT…. 100% all in for EDV, because of MSP200….

Then get hired directly by Delta more recently…. It’s happened. That person shares the same distaste for EDV…

The point is: you can get hired somewhere, without the flow…. The guy above didn’t need MSP200, and you don’t need Endeavor.

I flew for 9E for 5 and a half years. Kept my foot on the gas the whole time. LCA, Mentor, Volunteer, FAA work, you name it. When I interviewed with Delta I felt like it went well. Lots of smiles and handshakes, at the end of the interview I showed them a Certificate given to me when I was a little kid by a Delta Captain on my first flight. I told them I wanted to be a part of a team like that, that can inspire and build people up. 5 minutes later they sent me walking down Virginia ave early.
Sentiment, work ethic, attitude, means nothing to that company when they see Endeavor on the app. They’re hiring any and everyone except you. We’re in the biggest hiring wave in history and there was no way in hell I was sticking around to add to profit sharing I don’t see, for a company that doesn’t want me, to lose 30 spots seniority a week for multiple years. Every month you stay is another 100 spots at another great company.

This right here.

To the OP: I know that I've given you some heat, but seriously, get out while you can. Your advertised resume should get you hired anywhere else.

Can we also acknowledge the uptick in pink slips coming out of the training department? Are we trying to limit attrition by means of PRIA suddenly? Love my coworkers but I really can’t wait to leave

If you really want to be at Delta, it's so much easier to do from United or American. There were people in my class that left for UA, and people in my class from UA.

And, at the end of the day, it's better to be at United wishing you were at Delta than at E9 wishing you were at Delta

The only place I've actually seen this is Ho-Jet. A few places like Chatauqua and PSA had their known 'hammers' back in the day.

I would suggest the Occam's Razor explanation is the quality of candidates is dropping and instead of letting them go before the type ride they are pushing them through. Eventually the APDs get tired of this game and start making a point by saying no.

There’s a handful of individuals (3-4) that have no business being in the training dept

Quality of candidates was dropping pre covid in late 2019 and early 2020, those were by far the worst I flew with when I was a captain at 9E. I imagine it’s even worse now

It’s pathetic now (LCP speaking). Average OE time (after multiple extra sim sessions, failed rides etc) is around 55 hours. Highest I’ve seen- 110 hours back in June.

I’ve seen a new hire fail his MV twice, pass, fail his type ride twice, pass, struggle on OE but is now out on the line.

While there have certainly been an uptick in repeats/failures, I assure you, this isn’t the reason.
