How Long to Receive a Call
#2
took about a month for me but that was 8 months ago and I just started Indoc. Wait times are crazy right now but I think Endeavor is the only actively hiring regional at the moment.

Air Wisconsin is giving class dates 2-3 weeks after getting a CJO. Everyone is interviewing, even the AA WOs though at a slower pace.

Applied 5/4/23 on airlineapps. Still haven't heard and I do keep my hours updated each month. I check all the boxes but am a fresh 1500 hour with no 121 or turbine time. As for other airlines, Republic responded to me within weeks and they are running classes now for FOs (and imposing the new hire contract).

I would not expect to hear a call unless you have prior 121 time and can upgrade to CA relatively quickly. The only folks we’re hiring presently are students from parter STEP schools or Propel candidates. Classes are “supposedly filled” through 2024 with these people. Unless something changes with staffing in the near future with attrition I wouldn’t expect to get a call unless you’re in one of those 3 buckets. The plan is to grow back as a company once major hiring is under control and CA attrition is reduced, I wouldn’t expect to see that for at least a year or two.
Not only this but I know STEP people are currently being given class dates of like next May right now. Until something drastically changes I wouldn’t expect to get hired off the street here for quite a while as an FO.

Thats a problem that's been happening long before recent times. When they're flush with pilots, they find ways to bust people, when they're bust they let everyone train at their own pace. When I was a new hire there many years ago, they were failing people for not having the non memory items memorized on the immediate action items checklist. If you do the work, you'll pass but they were still by far the the most in-depth training problem I've completed. They definitely instilled good and rigorous study habits for future courses I've completed and made AQP airlines that much easier.

That is really dirty, and shady to try to fail someone, because you have too many pilots. They could simply lay you off. I would think the company wouldn't owe for unemployment, if a pilot was only there for a few months. A pilot's record is one of the most valuable things to them.
