This company really backed themselves into a corner, at what point is Delta just going to give up?

Where do you get your numbers? The "original" fleet plan calls for a net loss of 16 airframes by August '14. Your numbers are flawed which essentially challenges the credibility of your entire post.

The initial plan, which has been revised numerous times, called for the 200's to be gone by the end of '15. This number has changed too many times to count. Management even admits it. Not saying that it won't happen, but we'll see. Delta doesn't mess around with their staffing numbers.

The credibility of my post? No bold predictions of any kind were made. The original plan was all 200s to be gone 2014, there is not and has not been any other "official" plan. Only brief remarks about a delay of this plan. I didn't know I needed to be credible to ask a simple question. Why are they hiring and when does Delta give up on this experiment?

This board is not where you would go for Credibility. Anyone who bases any decision based on information from these boards is a fool. Where anyone can post information by using not their real name but a made up name. ficitional.

just my .02

It was never 2014. Always been 2015. Do you work for this company?

No I don't, I work for a 2nd tier major but can't let this place go so I come on here to stir things up.

Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. Reaches Tentative Agreement with Air Line Pilots Association -- MEMPHIS, Tenn., Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

2-3 years = 2014-2015. What is your point? Am I credible poster now because what I posted was backed up by an official press release? And do you have a point you are trying to prove? If so you aren't doing a very good job.

What pilot with an ATP and 1500 hrs would want to come to Endeavor? It's a deadend because Delta needs to park the 50 seaters in order for the 717 transition to happen. The DALPA contract clearly caps the 50 seaters at 125. While the actual fleet plan may change in terms of when the planes are parked the end state is still all 50 seaters gone and 81 CR9s only. So what FO wants to come to career stagnation? It isn't the pay. Bases? Compass offers the same and they actually have CAs that will be going to Delta guaranteed via flow and not some SSP crap. I still cannot see any reason(s) why any ATP/1500 hr pilot would come to Endeavor when there are so many better options all of whom are desperate.

Agree completely. I never wanted to go to pinnacle in the first place. Always sucked always will.
