I'm a former Colgan guy and I am slated for downgrade in Jan thanks to 13-02. Now that my salary will be cut in half in half I face the possible loss of my house and many other things my kids are familiar with. God forbid I hear some puke like you talk crap about me and whinning about downgrade. I won't think twice about knocking the life out of you or any douchebag pinnacle legacy captain. I'm sure you can figure out who I am if you feel you want to sac up and try to walk the walk instead of run your mouth. I welcome any PNCL puke that thinks they are better than alll Colgan or Mesaba pilots. I have flown with plenty of 4 and 5 year FO's that I had to babysit. How dare you talk crap toward someone who's been or is getting downgraded!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the most senior Colgan downgrade was hired Sept 2007. Legacy 9E CAs hired in 2007 have all been downgraded and now the most junior legacy 9E CA is a 2006 DOH. Even 2006 DOH guys (like higney85) are getting downgraded on this one. At least you had a left seat after Colgan was all gone so that must count for something. Other 9E pilots hired in 2007 haven't touched a single hour of TPIC time and I hear some of these 6-7 year FOs have houses and kids too. More importantly you have the TPIC time that many other 9E pilots don't have and they were hired before you. You're more likely to end up at a legacy before they do. Anyway, I feel bad for any person downgrading and it's an unfortunate position to be in. Physically threatening someone's well-being is uncalled for IMO.

I agree with all said. It's been a bad night in more ways than one here. Sometimes we say things in the heat of the moment for impact of frustration and they are taken out of context. I usually never post here but a nerve was struck at the wrong time. I'm not against going to the right seat. It's the pay cut that has me worried....

Good post, and your right! My rant is and was misplaced. With my wife recently losing her job and the imminent downgrade things are getting tougher daily. And I do realize I am not the only one with these scenarios. I wish everyone good luck. And yes. I served this country and you are welcome. Also I can say that I find myself quite embarrassed with my childish rants and hope some understand the frustration. We are all fighting a battle in one way or another.

if you're gonna talk the game, at least give the guy time to reply...

Shy I'm going to do my best to get you a hobby so you can leave the 9e vacancy/displacement list analyzing to those that work there
You should hit up a drag show in SFO, it does wonders for the soul.

One of my favorite past times is reading posts people make on here after a few drinks. It's either completely unintelligible or aggressive and demeaning. Either way it makes for a good show
In all seriousness - Shamrok: thank you for serving our country. I hope you and your family can figure out a way to make ends meet and that this downgrade is short lived. If the newest fleet projections are any indication I believe we'll be upgrading again in the very near future.
