Oh wow. And this is what's killing the industry. Someone to do whatever it takes, no matter how unethical. I bet this guy would be the first one to cross the picket line. Redefining the scab.

Sadly, Im willing to bet he works for 9E. Might be one of those that tells his friends to join his company even though its horrible just to have more guys under him.

If I were a potential new hire, it would get me to go to Endeavor.

You have to make it to 2 year captain and have to fly with people that will hate your guts. Good luck.

So you could sit for 10 years at 9E and wait for your turn to "flow" to Delta? You do realize how many 7 year FOs are still awaiting their turn to upgrade right? You also understand that you would be sitting ready reserve in JFK or LGA for eternity. Then once you do upgrade in 10 years you will have to sit another 2 years to get your captain time. It's a stupid idea.

Oh and btw you will be topped out at $36 per hour for the 10 year stint as FO.

Why doesn't the union(senior pilots) negotiate lower wages for the new ELT pilots and give themselves raises. If the new hires have SJS it seems like they would learn a hard lesson about biting dirty carrots. It also might not make the job that attractive at slave wages for 3-5 years. They might get to go to Delta but they won't be able to do it at other pilots expense. Just curious why short timers should be rewarded. I never felt entitled to anything as a junior pilot for any airlne I've ever worked for.

Get actual qualifications and network and you don't need a flow to get where you want to go. Maybe that's just the old fashioned way of getting a good job.

Because the contract isn't amendable for another 5+ years and why would the company ever agree to it? As often as they've put a bullet in their own leg, they aren't likely THAT stupid. The key is everyone reach out as an alumni and make sure to let the students know that the "neat CRJ" that they just saw as a marketing ploy to get them to work here just headed to Kingman, AZ to be permanently retired from the fleet.... 11 less pilots needed at this company every flight.

Flow is OK as a backstop. BUT don't stop looking for a good move.

If you get on at AA or SWA etc in the next 5 years you have won. If not and you get to DL in 10 then you have done better than the guy still at his regional in 10.

BUT the important bit is to keep working don't sit back and wait.
