I find it funny the entitlement generation (what they call me) had a higher pass rate than the jacks that named us that.
With that said, I don't find the guys i flew with who got the double no were entitled. I definately studied until there wasnt anything left to study, did my best, and the whole time kept in my head it was a coin toss. Made the cut though.
Got the good flip.
Edit: to new guys, remember many of us have discussed at length if we'd just left mesaba and went to compass we'd already be at delta upgrading on a md88. Many decisions in this industry come down to two roads. I wanted to stay at mesaba because i was worried about the flush details of compass flow, meanwhile i never considered the possibility of the flow being a complete success. The SSP worked for me the DGI might work for you, however, a lot of the guys who mentored me, got a big old double finger salute and it had nothing to do with the made up crap on here. In those days the success rate waffled between 30% or as low as 0%. 70% of the guys you flew with were NOT delta material and being told to go back and fly Delta passengers. It was a crazy time that's still tough to think about.

I'm looking at applying to Endeavor but have some questions.
1) How much of family health insurance is paid for by the company / how much by the employee? (What's this gonna cost me?)
2) How much are union fees?
3) What other benefits are worth mentioning that aren't already listed under the profile page?
4) It says all "open time" is paid at 150%, What is "open-time"?

1) About $380 a month for a family plan
2) 2% of your gross pay
3) That's individual. But I like going to work. Great place to work!
4) Time where they need a pilot to fill a seat that was not already scheduled. Think of it as overtime. Some pays 150%, some pays 200%.

Do FOs build any PIC time? (Are they fully type rated?)
How quick to 1,000 hours? 13 months?
I meet most captain mins except 1,000 hours 121.
If I get 1,000 hours in less than 18 months, can I upgrade to captain in less than 18 months? I mean I know it's seniority based, just asking.

So do most FOs log all time as SIC for that reason? If so, do they separate PM / PF in their logbook in anyway?
I log total time, night, sic, turbine, multi and actual as a fo. I don't specify pm/pf it doesn't make a difference im still sic. Log the landing obvious only if you flew it.

All FOs at 121 operators log SIC. Only the captain can log PIC. That is determined by whose name is listed as PIC on the flight release. PF vs. PM and "sole manipulator of flight controls" does not matter. FOs are fully type rated though.

The other questions were answered above. But as to 1,000 121 time, that is up to you to fly as much or as little as possible. 18 months at EDV is very doable. 12 may be, if you try hard enough. Get 1,000, and you will upgrade. Many already have 1,000 and haven't upgraded, so you will beat them to CA if you upgrade right at 1,000.

Legally speaking, you can put whatever you want in your logbook. All that matters is what the place you are applying to counts toward their minimums.
