The Negotiating Committee continued meeting with the company last week to address incorporating Retention Payments into wages. The session was positive and productive. With both sides having completed additional costing analysis, it was clear that without the company investing new money, it would be impossible to achieve our goals of ensuring that no pilot would earn less as we transition to wages (an issue for pilots who earn monthly guarantee like reserves and CDO/CNO line holders) and importantly, restoring senior pilot pay. Our most senior pilots are the only part of our pilot group who have not recovered their wages through the retention payments, and continue to earn about $10,000 less per year than they would have under the JCBA. The company indicated a willingness to invest new money, provided their additional investment yields a contract extension of 2 to 3 years. We are willing to entertain a contract extension, provided we also address other key provisions of our agreement in addition to wages.

It is 10% better than a coin toss if you include 2nd attempts. If you take 50-50 on the first toss and flipped all losers a second time you'd get 75% i think. Instead you've got 20-30% of nos getting a double no so they dont flip again. So the 70% of no's (who did not receive double no) get a second flip of coin.
So you might be able to argue coin toss numbers if you dived in deep.
Stir that pot baby.

Well it's 60% cumulative. Is anyone still arguing if the % wouldn't have shot up at all in 2015 if the place hadnt almost shut down from attrition in 2014?

With that said, I don't find the guys i flew with who got the double no were entitled. I definately studied until there wasnt anything left to study, did my best, and the whole time kept in my head it was a coin toss. Made the cut though.
Got the good flip.
Edit: to new guys, remember many of us have discussed at length if we'd just left mesaba and went to compass we'd already be at delta upgrading on a md88. Many decisions in this industry come down to two roads. I wanted to stay at mesaba because i was worried about the flush details of compass flow, meanwhile i never considered the possibility of the flow being a complete success. The SSP worked for me the DGI might work for you, however, a lot of the guys who mentored me, got a big old double finger salute and it had nothing to do with the made up crap on here. In those days the success rate waffled between 30% or as low as 0%. 70% of the guys you flew with were NOT delta material and being told to go back and fly Delta passengers. It was a crazy time that's still tough to think about.

I find it funny the entitlement generation (what they call me) had a higher pass rate than the jacks that named us that.

Health Insurance / Other Benefits
I'm looking at applying to Endeavor but have some questions.
1) How much of family health insurance is paid for by the company / how much by the employee? (What's this gonna cost me?)
2) How much are union fees?
3) What other benefits are worth mentioning that aren't already listed under the profile page?
4) It says all "open time" is paid at 150%, What is "open-time"?

1) About $380 a month for a family plan
2) 2% of your gross pay
3) That's individual. But I like going to work. Great place to work!
4) Time where they need a pilot to fill a seat that was not already scheduled. Think of it as overtime. Some pays 150%, some pays 200%.
