From your DTW MX group regarding the mounts for the EFB.. they are being put in the aircraft by flight ops/they are being maintained by flight ops/they are being replaced (when broken or missing) by flight ops.. MX does not have any stock.. We have also been instructed that the mounts are not a maintenance item.. How flight ops is installing something on the aircraft without a log book entry is different story I am not touching.. Long story short.. If your EFB mount is missing or broken.. Flight Ops Management will be your point of contact... Thanks

Exactly. Same with a trip binder. No need for a write-up for them either. MX should be GLAD they won't have to deal with them. What a nuisance that would become!
