How's the schedule like for the initial, Sims and IOE? Are there gaps in between training modules? Is everything done in MSP?
Just finished ground. I'm off for two weeks. The 19th I fly to LGA and have a couple jumpseat rides then out to minna for a week and then to Phoenix. My scheduleis set pretty much like the previous poster. Ground was a solid month. First week was indoc, a week of Gen subs, then two weeks of systems. Had weekends off, they would positive space you home for the weekends if you wanted.

Was pretty much the firehose you would imagine it would be

I'm considering the move up there from Southern NH where I would be commuting out of BOS or MHT. I know Boston has a ton of flights but it's 1.5 hours by car or bus from where I live.

I know commuting will suck no matter where it is, but I'm trying to feel out just how much suck I'm willing to endure.
Loads vary from day to day and month to month, so I won't say it's always full. I will say there are more than a handful of guys at JetBlue and Delta making that commute also.

If you can BOS would be much easier. There is something on the order of nearly 50 flights a day between LGA and BOS. JFK has many too and they're almost all 9E operated. For what it's worth, I have a 2-2.5 hour flight time to commute, so driving an hour and a half to Boston isn't the worst commute anyone has.

Was there a new class that started Monday? If so how many were in said class?

31 started on Monday. Should exceed 60+ for February, and March is queuing up for big numbers as well.

I know we lose roughly 15 a month to the SSP; any idea how many other we lose to other attrition? What net growth looks to be per month this year?

Just got a note back from my buddy on the recruitment team. He talked to someone from network planning who said 15/mo to SSP, 5-9 to other airlines/opportunities, and we're net gaining 11 or 12 pilots to the pool each month. Should be adequate to cover the new planes coming on property each month.

Think 20-30 month to other airlines. 15% washout of new hires.
Guess that makes it 30-40/month leave.
growth 10-20 per month.

The company puts out the exact numbers each month. I think January had around 30 total leave, about half of those to SSP as well as corporate flying, UPS and UAL.
