As far as the sell job went, I’ve either been brainwashed through the years or it happened. I sat in a few different meetings and heard about the “formality” of the process, meant to weed out a few bad apples.

Sometime go through the old FOUs from RE and count up total applicants not total interviews (you have to dig through and find an old seniority list from those days)and you'll come to an obvious conclusion. I don't agree with avroman often but it's clear something like half the pilot group wasnt interested.
