You don't necessarily have to be within LGA perimeters. Keep in mind Endeavor pays for a shuttle from Kew Gardens which is located in between both airports. Plenty to do, safe, restaurants and parks etc...if you decide to crash near LGA...all of the above are limited. Also keep in mind a cold walk in winter.

When a new vacancy is bid upon, do you have the option to opt to your 2nd choice.

Lets say I bid for base A, but dont like where I fall, can I say I want my option 2, base B because I would hold higher seniority there? I would prefer A, but after the first award of the vacancy B would be better after seeing where everyone else falls. Even though I may be based in base C, which is my 3rd choice on my bid.

The four aircraft I've been in the past two days had the mounts in bags.

Assuming I understand your question correctly, no you cannot. You get what you are awarded and you either take it, or withdraw and stay where you are.

I agree with this, but wouldn't the caveat be... unless the company needed you in your second choice?

I guess you're correct, if you were an alternate on the initial, withdrew from your first choice, and then you're awarded your second choice on the final. Would have to be a perfect situation though I guess.
