One of the main reasons I am considering Endeavor is because of the NY base, Its very commutable from my current location compared to other regionals.

Msp and DTW are still bases and aren't going anywhere.

Look, right now the focus is on NYC because it's a new base. Skywest did that with DTW when it was opened. Lets wait until NYC is fully staffed before going any further with this. We do a boatload of DTW and MSP flying.

Things for us are looking good, we've got folks moving to Delta and elsewhere, upgrades still moving along, performance looking great, and plenty of folks showing up to class and hitting the line.

Yup, most of the company has good movement. The exceptions are the DTW and MSP 900 captain positions as they are staffed mostly with lifers and the DTW and MSP 900 FO positions because they are staffed with guys not interested in upgrading, but those spots will slowly start to open as those SSP FO's are going to start going to class at Delta in the next couple months. There are FO's that are upgrading holding Delta CJO's but most have at least a year to wait before going to Delta. It seems guys with less than 1 year to wait are just sitting with good FO schedules until class time.

Bottom line is absolutely doable. PM for more..

Yeah uber pool is a great deal, sometimes you can time it right and get it to yourself. Whenever I subway in/out I'll be incognito, that way you just look like another overpacked tourist. Granted, if your flight case is plastered with Boeing stickers then it's a lost cause.

How are the LGA trips? Do planes overnight in base? Where I am currently at, we have an LGA base but don't leave planes there overnight. This leads to almost all trips being commutable on both ends.

Mostly you won't see LGA on a 4 day. There are some out & backs on reserve or in Open Time, but even LGA based you'll see plenty of CVG.MSP DTW et al. Lots of fun flying.
I'm not worried about traveling in uniform. i saw several guys with wings on the bus. Manhattan at least is probably the safest city in the country...

Exactly, idk where this rumor has come from that MSP and DTW is closing. As with any new base opening that's where the majority of new people are going to be sent until they have the staffing numbers there. Same thing is happening with Skywest opening up in DTW, same thing happened when Compass started LAX flying. That's just how it goes unfortunately.

This. Marketing came into class recently and said MSP/ DTW will be status quo, however most new flying/ positions will be in NY.
