If it isn't required by the FOM, then don't sweat it

Alpa rep? Company rep/manager?

There's three reps for alpa, try an initial. And if a hat gets you a flow, wear the hat.

Just curious, where do you get these numbers from? Is it a DLnet thing? Can other regionals like Compass, SkyWest and Republic see it as well?

Where did you see that?

Change of subject, I'm running down iPad battery more quickly than I originally thought. I bring a portable battery charger, which helps. Thoughts, suggestions? I've got it in airplane mode, blue tooth off.

I had a similar problem when I first started using it during the testing. I found I could just barely get a full battery use in a day, sometimes more. (I still charge at the gate) We are use to referencing the paper plate and looking away so I found that the screen was being left on when not necessarily needed. I made an effort to shut the screen off more often and that has helped quite a bit. Screen brightness and leaving the screen on have the biggest effect on battery life. (Even if it's set to sleep in a minute or two)

Heard the union rep in NYC wants to add it to the contract to require us to wear it.
If they even think about it it better be good!!!
Pretty bad when a union rep would want this.

Having used the same app at a previous company, I found that running night mode all the time helped. That and shutting the screen off when you aren't using it. I did my first day on the line with mine today, 4 legs, didn't get below 50%.
