I've upgrade and commute to a line, get 14 or 15 off, need to commute in on the last flight in the night before or first flight out 2 or 3 times a month. I use motels, make my reservation right after the bid comes out much cheaper that way I end up spending 16 or 17 nights a month in my own bed. Stagnation is not a huge problem if you choose not to make it a problem. I laugh at these guys who choose unsweetened Lemon-aid then complain it's to sour. To sound cliche' "you can't have your cake and eat it too."
Sure can. If the plan holds true we have 230 more upgrades coming this year. That will be more than enough to get 17-01 upgrades off reserve and to a line that is fairly flexible soon. The poor QOL and stagnation is offset because the airline in again growing. This will be the 3rd year we have with double digit aircraft growth.

That is why I said "at least without growth".
Some of you guys are dense.

The sky is not falling. Expansion is way bigger than you think. More (way more) airframes than what was announced are planned in the next year. Defined pathway IS on the table, terms are the sticking point (ask your union reps who have been in the meetings). Just remember Rome was not built in a day, all actions have been carefully thought out to ensure the stability and survival of Delta. The variables involved are not apparent, so no use being the kid that didn't get what he wants when he wants it. This is a business, don't forget that.

Dang, late to the party. It looks like most 200 check pilots are going to ATL. That will make life excellent for FOs. Check pilots on most trips. That's gonna be the most standardized domicile, isn't it?
