Reserve rules are expensive in a contract and every newhire FO is oblivious to reserve rules. That reserve rule is flushed down the toilet every time a fo does whatever scheduling says or begs them on the phone to use them.

Big picture, movement will continue and pilots on reserve will not be there long and the ones that will be on reserve will be a dwarfed minority. It isn't worth the cost to give reserve guys their christmas list when it costs the senior pilots their jcba rates.

Get senior guys their rates back, until the whole tree has regrown its roots we arent gonna be worried about which single branch gets the largest fruit. Let's face it senior guys won't leave, so the union has no leverage to get them anything. And if new hires arent attracted into class, there is no Endeavor.

You might make small gains, but Delta has no reason to pump more money in for pilots unless the classes are empty or close to it.

Finally, this is a regional, move on. Delta hates regionals even though theyre caressing your leg now it won't be for long.
I've been hearing that bullshat for 12 years and I've been on reserve for over 10 of those (and looks like I will continue to be for the indefinite future unless they magically change the numbers of 17-01 with this delay)

And help keep overall longevity lower (just look at Compass). This is where Delta really dropped the ball the way they handled the SSP here.. By turning down a majority of captains that interviewed, they also turned away many more from even trying to interview in addition to those that were already lifers here. That just exacerbated the top heavy portion of our seniority list. Trying to run them off by shrinking MSP and DTW isn't going to work well.... That's just making things worse.

If it were remotely commutable... I'd be #1 in LGA or JFK, but they're not commutable from my home...I'm more likely to become #1 FO in base and just bid to fly with the LCA's and hope for buyoff.

Yeah we are obviously trolling by saying no one should be taking a pay cut in the current market. Surprised you didn't pick up on it.

This is an industry wide problem for/at the regionals. Regionals were never ment to be as large but buy the greed of mainline pilots and lower costs to management it was allowed. Then factor in limited hiring at mainlines over the years and what hiring was done much of which outside of the regionals you end up with more senior so called lifers.

Have to wonder if people were asking the same thing while watching or hearing about the people of the "Boston Tea Party". Why are they running a good thing? The British are giving us a good thing.

Sure, you've consistently been in the overwhelming minority. No wonder you've felt so left behind. Every MEC at every company is always going to leave you to your misery.

Enjoy the self imposed FO gig after 13 years. The buyout is the best gem in the contract, you'll love the buyoff with pay.

We had the tea party. We had the war. This is what winning looks like at the regional level. I get it you think it should br better, so do I.

Is it better somewhere else in regional land?
Will you leave to that "better" regional?
Will that company take you?

That's the only thing Delta and Endeavor listen to.
