EDV Annual Profit Sharing
This is what DTW Mx has been told about annual profit sharing.... post bankrupt 2013 RG announced EDV annual profit sharing... we asked about it in 2014 ... "since we just came out of bankruptcy there isn't a profit to be had"... we asked about it in 2015... they denied the actual existence of it until someone produced the paperwork.. then we got the story... EDV is not built to make a profit.. we are a "cost center" for daddy D.. we asked about it in 2016.. they said they went to daddy to ask for an annual OPR program (AOPR) based on numbers for the year being made... depending on how we did for the year they told us they payout would have been between $6-10 mill.... daddy D shot it down.. we asked about it last week... "we are preparing to make another run at D for the AOPR again in the fall when budget cycle runs"... don't hold your breath.. especially with 2017 goal numbers being higher than they have ever been since 2013

That's why a degree is considered an entry level qualifier. It would make far more sense for regionals to require the degree, not mainline.
A degree may or may not be important but when your sitting in a room with a bunch of guys that have them and you are the only one that doesn't, how do you feel about getting the call from the big D or united or aa. You can hold out and maybe they will drop the requirement but for now, it's just a disadvantage. It's still a highly competitive game out there to get called from a major. DGI doesn't mean squat if you don't meet the quals. You can walk in but how is delta gonna treat the interview if they feel you shouldn't be there in the first place. If you want a shot at a major without a degree. Go to envoy. Also college was the best years of my life. I learned more about myself there as a person and did some good book learnin too. Might not be a better pilot from it but I still learned things about the world around me there.

Question: Would it be possible for the DGI guys to start going to Delta before people holding SSP CJOs? I have a CJO through the SSP but have to wait another 10 months or so to start class, figure the first of the DGI guys might start going at that point.

No, the DGI program is written to prevent that. Additionally, someone hired under DGI would have needed to upgraded 14 months ago for it to be an issue for you.

No. Have to be hired after 16 July 2015 to be under the DGI. Then be a CA for 24 months. Estimating upgrade eligibility around Jan 2017, award now, that means one would be eligible for a call to interview around April 2019. Last I heard, the SSP list is about 18-19 months currently? Someone who is involved will likely come along and put out the correct number.

Delta is open to flow based on a bunch of conditions; College degree being the sticking point. The only reason we had the SSP, and not something better, is because the MEC wanted people without the degree to get a chance. Thus the vault letter.
Even if we get a flow, there will not be much movement off the top.

You could have applied for the EtD, but that required you to have a degree, and go to the bottom of the list.
