Paper Jepps. Don't expect EFBs until at least 2017. If then.

What is the likelihood of a new hire getting JFK out of training and current reserve wait? Any back ups in training as of now?

As far as I know you can generally get JFK right off the bat depending on your class seniority (by age). If not you should be able to get it in the following vacancy notice.

Reserve wait is kinda hard to say. There's been a lot of shifting around. All I can say is when I started in August the reserve wait for Detroit 900 (in terms of junior line holder DOH) was 4 years. Now according to the latest mock schedule for December the junior line holder is a June new hire.

I know that in MSP it's close to a millennium or two. That'll probably reduce to 25-30 years in a few months.

Coming in 2014... Wait... Crap.

Supposedly "in the budget" for 2016, but safe to say at least 6 months away being optimistic. Realistically, 2017. We get DL's leftovers. When they upgrade their surface tablets and work out the bugs, we get efb's. It was a fuel saving measure, but now that fuel has become cheap, the weight savings don't impact the budget.

Lots of new MSP -200 FOs this class. More aircraft heading that way?

I meant internal aircraft movement and going to MSP. I have no clue on hypothetical additions!

I disagree. I've been doing these forums for over a decade now. And one thing I've noticed is people usually speak their mind. When it sucks, they'll tell you how bad the suck is. And when things are going good you'll hear about that too. I really haven't seen where someone is just trying to coax someone into going to an airline just to boost their seniority. Pilots may be a lot of things, but for the most part I think they're pretty honest
