You bid for it with each vacancy. They're published as needed by the company and can range from every month to every 6 months. It's based on seniority though so you can only get what has openings and what your seniority can hold.

Fwiw, you will be in NY or ATL and that's about it. Don't expect dtw or msp.

Depends on when the next vacancy comes out. Seems like 5 a year has been typical. You bid for what you want. And maybe you'll get your choice.

Well shoot. Apparently, I’m 73% less likable with an equal drop in stature.

Still not getting a hat

I know 6 people hired at SWA from 9e in last year and a half, it's definitely possible. Suppose to hire an additional 800+ in 2018. Any base obtainable within 3-4 months (except ATL).

Jumpseat on mainline is- Delta, EDV, all other Delta connection carriers and off line
Thanks for the info Taco, do you know if the jumpseat rules are actually written somewhere? There was a guy who was quite adamant and boisterous in the terminal in ATL a couple weeks ago that it's first come first serve behind DL. I'd like to have something to point to and say "no you're wrong..."

Are you referring to on a DL jumpseat or on our (9E) jumpseat?

Edit- Alright I found it in our FOM for jumpseat priority on 9E aircraft.

The coding is irrelevant to me but may be relevant in a computer system...

F-1 Endeavor Pilots
...bunch of other weird nonpilot codes
H-1 Delta pilots/dispatchers
H-2 Pilots/dispatchers of other Delta connection carriers
H-3 Pilots employed by other part 121 carrier that has reciprocal agreement

There might be some info on the travel dept. of our website for priority on Delta, but I would imagine it should be the same. However I've been wrong many times before

The union sent out an email about 6 months ago explaining this. See if you can find that, or maybe talk to someone on the Jumpseat committee. The system should prioritize correctly when the gate agent lists you for the Jumpseat. We got this from Delta at the same time that they gave us S3B1

To buckle on to that, history has shown they announce on a Wednesday. They did 6 last year, so I would bet this or next Wednesday, followed by another one in early December if they keep the 6 a year trend. If it's only 5 then who knows when

High score for United is military, Master’s degree, and 3 Recs.
For non-military it’s Bachelors, check airman and 10 letters. That’s for an algorithm scoring only.
