I appreciate the sharing of the info, and I am sure many here will benefit. I just read the CFM after you posted it, and it certainly looks like that would CYA if one were to not brief the approach as per the ODH requirement. Makes it about a concrete as the seat belt chime, eh?

I hear ya. Just sharing the conflicting information I’ve gotten. The CFM isn’t very specific but does say the approach guides are recommended and that’s what the training people have said. I understand the conflict with the ODH. I’m not saying which one is the proper way to go. It would just be nice if we could get some official clarification anytime before next year.

In regards to the ODH approach checklists, I just went through training and the instructors said it was a typo. It should say recommended for all except cat II and vnav stuff on the 900. Page 7-30 in the 200 CFM and 7-32 for the 900 says it is recommended. Apparently they got a memo saying this. I personally hate that they/company know about the error but just let things spread via word of mouth. It puts all of us in a crappy spot where there is conflicting information. With the EFBs they could easily just issue a correction to it or at the very least put out a memo.

That’s why I voted No....mo money mo money. Spread the wealth....nah just kidding, not about voting no...but there will be plenty of coin to make outside of Delta. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Any legacy you go to will be a great place for many many years. Well let’s hope 🤞
