Let's get back to flying airplanes.
Which is why I said we are allowed to hand fly as much as we want outside of RVSM...

Yes 100% correct complaining on a form isn't going to change paycheck or anything. Other then moving on to other opportunities as I am sure you are suggesting where is there to complain? ALPA and mainline pilots surly haven't done a good job and because of greed and IDC probably never will.

Funny isn't it maybe about 15 years ago you would have to be at a mainline to be flying a 76 seater. Wonder what would have happened to all Endeavor pilots back then had DAL bought Endeavor. Also, ever wonder why ALPA had to adjust its ALPA merger policy after DAL bought COMAIR as it was a little vague between mainline and regional buyout? Others have inferred that DAL needs to protect their brand so I guess there isn't much to protect as long as it is less then 77 seats. Yeah makes sense to me. Currently we have Deny NAI. Again a mainline thing but what happened to denying anything above 30 seats?

As long as we have a two class system with discriminatory practices and policies favoring one group over another this will not go away and all on the doorstep of mainline and ALPA who created it. Now everyone just move on.

The only place I can't stand when guys hand fly is in NYC....all that twisting of knobs and pushing buttons on the FMS and working the radios while the dude just sits there and chills giving me orders is one hell of a work load especially if its crazy busy like it normally is. I always get the AP on departure at 600 FT in NYC just to make the workload much less for the NON FLY. That is just me. Some people are clueless as to why I do that.

Pilot flying can turn his own knobs if you're too busy. But leaving say LGA on Whitestone, it's probably easier to use the AP. Agreed.

Long before silly little RJs and FMS, there were 727s, DC-9s and L188s flying out of NYC. Hell, they flew DC-10s, Tri Stars and A300s there as well meaning LGA. Don't for get the piston age either and you think you're busy now! Pushing buttons and ATC, oh no pilots being pilots. Guys my era are laughing at this because tis is silly. Not a slog at Endeavor pilots just the statement of NY being busy now in an RJ is all. Flew the Whitestone by hand all the time, in heavy snow, t storms, with no autopilot, why, there was no autopilot. Now you probably won't believe this but I, and many many others, flew in and out of LGA, no autopilot, wait for it, you might want to sit down for this next part-ready? SINGLE PILOT! Oh the insanty! My friends and I laugh at all this NY, LGA talk as if it's a dangerous place. Busy yes, dangerous no.

You guys were/are awesome. (no pun or sarcasm) Same group that gave up scope and failed the striking CAL pilots.

And a Flow back to Endeavor in case needed. I don't understand how our ALPA negotiated a flow back after a unsuccessful ssp candidate at Delta. Complete nonsense, if you can't hack it at Delta, your arse needs to go to the back of the line at Endeavor!

Hear, hear. Some pilots who fly passengers by the hundreds literally don't know how to handle a plane with the G/S out of service. SFO crash.

Never mind their family situation. Eff whether they could potentially lose a home, college for kids, etc. that, in my opinion, is messed up. But on second thought, they'd be on the street otherwise so at least to me, it's one hell of a huge gray spot.

All depends on the day. If LGA is in a temporary lull, I've hand flown the Whitestone a few times, communication ahead of time is all it takes. Likewise I'm more than happy to spin the bugs as needed for a frantic few minutes. Some guys are AP on at 600 and off at 500. Then I've had guys who are on at 250 and off at 10,000.
