You'd have a point, except for the fact they haven't offered any non NYC captain spots in either jet for months.

I hear his point. It's not the first time. I would actually consider it, but I have been simply asking union, and company management if they have an idea for 900 captain numbers for both Msp and Dtw. That is valuable information to have for making that move. You know a pros and cons list??? One big con is a 2 year seat lock. Then there's the fact that the 200 hasn't been an option for a while either

Are you accepting that you / we are less deserving of equal treatment? 50 years ago we would all be flying at a mainline because the regionals were never meant (nor allowed) to be this way. Even DAL pilots had to change their contact to allow non DAL to operate their equipment. I doubt if ALPA or mainline pilots would even put up much of a fight if NAI was just another regional. Yes we may not get the same stringent hiring processes like some mainlines but that is not my / our fault. I am sure many NWA pilots would also not be a good fit for DAL and also get rejected in DAL hiring. (Not slaming any NWA pilots and nothing negative towards them.) I do not believe any regional pilots should be offered a DOH seniority or relative seniority like in a mainline merger but neither should a mainline be allowed to give a regional a take it or leave it contract. Staple or direct flow would be more fare. But I understand at a regional fairness does not apply.

Life is not fair, they have something that you want, but you have nothing that they want. NWA had airplanes that paid Delta rates, and required integration by contract. So it's that simple. If we suddenly had something they wanted, we would be talking about integration.

Well stated and fully agree but tomorrow can DAL go to NWA pilots and also say sorry it's not working all NWA must find another job? Of course they can't but they can to any regional pilots after they buy the company they work for. Yes, things have improved but whats to stop them (DAL) from throwing everyone out to the streets like they did to COMAIR? Well maybe ALPA can stop them next time.... right?

The company can replace anyone at any time, whether mainline or regional. Management need simply forge a situation they claim to be beyond their control. However, actions like that may detonate the company, but there is nothing stopping them from actually doing it.

Email received from the manager of the EFB trial.

9E has selected the iPad (Air 2 or 9.7" pro) as the end state device. New authorization has been signed today.

Testers using the Microsoft Surface are having their access pulled today and iPad users are allowed to continue to use theirs. No mention of company provided iPads or stipend.
