I was off and couldn't make it. Any news on where exactly they were coming from? Or when we would get exact details? I'm mostly curious about where the flying will be, I'm hoping for growth anywhere outside of NYC. I'm not sure if people have realized, but SkyWest has about 15 more flights per day than us in both MSP and DTW now that we've moved to NYC.

Less than 20% of any regional would be Delta hire-able, thus they are looking at ab initio programs to take college grads with zero time. You can go to top conservative colleges, and find tier 1 applicants who will certainly entertain a Delta career now that the pay is back to $200K+.
I'm curious how many junior FOs with little seniority to give up are considering moves to the AA WOs. As far as the merits of the SSP and DGI, that's a horse thats been beaten beyond death. Candidates believe that we have lousy career progression compared to AA regionals. Will we see recruiting suffer or attrition? Time will tell.
That's the major question. I'd be willing to bet close to 97% of the top 200 wouldn't take a job offer at Delta. Numbers 200-400 95%yes. After that almost all willing to move on. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose AA WO's in a heartbeat. I have buddies heading to American early next year that we're hired around the same time at the regionals. Sure it took a long time, but in the end it worked out for them.
I know that getting a invite to Delta is a major deal. But I still scratch my head on their hiring process. Some major head scratchers were given a CJO...oh well congrats to them! But AA clearly ( In my opinion) is a much better long term deal. I don't see Delta offering a flow, even though their pilots sit in our Jumpseat's and talk about career progression, and how a solid path to Delta would open the flood gates for new hires.

We are a regional, and while wholly owned, that does also mean wholly pwnded. Thankfully this dumpster fire convinced Delta to give us a break and at least put us first among regionals, that's as good as it gets until you goto delta.
Wow. Reminds me of the 0 out of 9 days back in 2014. Look at it thisway, while the upgrades will slow down the FO movement will never be faster to senior FO, you can make great money here as an FO or just have a TON of days off, and captains will leave, albeit a slower pace than this year.

Everyone in LGA was Envoy according to the tower controller... she'd clearly given up trying to keep it straight. Washington center asked me about it and said he'd heard nothing of the change but would likely see a memo in a couple months

I'd bet it's more like top 300 aren't going anywhere, The best anyone should expect to achieve, without more 700/900 airframes, is a junior reserve captain seat because basically nobody that holds a 900 Captain line is looking to leave. There should be plenty of FO movement even in MSP and DTW because of most of the CJO holders passing on upgrade waiting for class at Delta, but that also means other than some bottom reserve guys, there is nobody with offers, and in most cases, no interest in moving on at this point. Every year that passes means the guys at the top are a year older and even less likely to go anywhere else by choice.
