I love when I get to NYC, call the hotel and they tell me to go to Federal Circle. Tell them I’m air crew and all they say is, “Federal Circle every 15 minutes.” Click.

What hotel? Haven’t had an issue with the Sheraton or Hilton, though I wish the Sheraton would get there within 15. It’s so slow.

Complete BS. Tell them to pick you up at the departure level. They will. Eventually.

Funny thing... when I request the HGI vs. the Sheraton, I am told the Sheraton is the only contract hotel. But when I get “dumped” in JFK unexpectedly, I am usually in the HGI. Love their breakfast. And the woman who runs breakfast at the Sheraton is a nazi...

14CFR 1.1
(1) Pilot time that commences when an aircraft moves under its own power for the purpose of flight and ends when the aircraft comes to rest after landing;

But what is pilot time?
14CFR 61.1
Pilot time means that time in which a person—
(i) Serves as a required pilot flight crewmember; (ie door closure, meaning block......)

So, should we log pilot time or flight time in our logbooks?
14CFR 61.51
(c) Logging of pilot time. The pilot time described in this section may be used to:
(1) Apply for a certificate or rating issued under this part or a privilege authorized under this part; or
(2) Satisfy the recent flight experience requirements of this part.
It specifically defines flight time and requires that the aircraft move under its own power.

Yeah, I know that. Did you even read the whole post? The definition of flight time is not in question......

The flight school I did my instructing at, we did our run ups in the parking spaces before moving guess none of that time counted...I’ll be turning in my resignation effective Monday to return to the mighty 172 so I can properly accumulate my flight time. Thank you BlueSkies the knight in shinning armor!

Unfortunately you're probably junior to me or this plan is working great so far. Totally what I was going for.

Also shining has one "n". Enjoy the 172.
