What hotel? Haven’t had an issue with the Sheraton or Hilton, though I wish the Sheraton would get there within 15. It’s so slow.

Complete BS. Tell them to pick you up at the departure level. They will. Eventually.
Funny thing... when I request the HGI vs. the Sheraton, I am told the Sheraton is the only contract hotel. But when I get “dumped” in JFK unexpectedly, I am usually in the HGI. Love their breakfast. And the woman who runs breakfast at the Sheraton is a nazi...

You need to read more than 1.1
What is flight time?
14CFR 1.1
(1) Pilot time that commences when an aircraft moves under its own power for the purpose of flight and ends when the aircraft comes to rest after landing;
But what is pilot time?
14CFR 61.1
Pilot time means that time in which a person—
(i) Serves as a required pilot flight crewmember; (ie door closure, meaning block......)
So, should we log pilot time or flight time in our logbooks?
14CFR 61.51
(c) Logging of pilot time. The pilot time described in this section may be used to:
(1) Apply for a certificate or rating issued under this part or a privilege authorized under this part; or
(2) Satisfy the recent flight experience requirements of this part.
