What studying prior to class does anyone recommend? I've found the limitations for the 900 on Quizlet, as well as some other info. Is there anything else one recommends?

Show up to class, study what they tell you to study. Don't get ahead, don't try to be that guy who thinks he knows everything. They'll give you what you need and when you need it. Don't make it harder on yourself.

As a Sim Instructor at 9E, I highly recommend studying your basic IFR skills. Also, if you do not have any time flying glass cockpits, start reviewing that. I find the biggest struggles come from weak scans and weak IFR knowledge.

I was asking because from my experience at FlightSafety and CAE they give you pre-study material. I've just been used to having homework before initial.

Some what ignorant question about dropping time and whatnot. After you receive a build up schedule, can you drop reserve days (assuming there is enough coverage) that were assigned as a build up?

Does Endeavor provide a hotel room for training at CAE in Dallas for the ATP-CTP course?

I'm honestly not too sure, you can always try and see on Flica, the worst crew scheduling can say is no.

For all the guys that wear sweaters, how do you like them vs. the blazer? and are they pretty warm or do they become unbearable at times? I know some airports keep the heat pretty high, and on top of that wearing the white shirt under it seems like it can make it pretty warm. I personally don't like being blazing hot but I was looking into getting one.

You will have plenty to study when you get to ground school. Starts at indoc. Learn the FOM! Then once that test is done, worry about systems. It's a building block theory. If you start at the top, it won't make as much sense and you will be trying to relearn it. Once you have the systems down, we want you to learn the profiles and procedures. Then you get in the sim and finally learn the plane. BUT, if you show up to the sim and don't have the other stuff down, your life just got really hard, and your days off just disappeared. You will be spending all your time doing make up Sims on days off. Remember, you can be worked 6 on 1 off if you are struggling.

Yes. They provide everything other than food. You also do not get a pay check while you're down there.
