Golden Rule, man...treat the company the way you'd want to be treated. Handle it like a grown up, respectfully rescind your CJO and move on.

Just don't think that going elsewhere will give you an easier path to Delta, if that's where you want to fly in the future. Do share your greener pasture story - very interested in hearing what's better than what 9E has on the table.

It's more like 65% in DTW & NY.

One legs are most common, but knowing you usually have decent two leggers in your back pocket is nice. You'll survive. I commuted to reserve for four years. What people are complaining about now would have been a God-send around 15 months ago. I kid you not. Perspective.

Because it's the professional and right thing to do. And because burning bridges in this industry (or anywhere) is a really bad idea.

True, but I thought that curtesy was lost?

If you say so, doesn't change the fact that the base selection is putrid and hurts pilot recruitment.

Hurts recruiting? I don't see that, with 62 new hires in February. Not that they are my favorite bases of choice, but I would imagine that all the people who live in MSP, DTW, and NY find them quite amenable.

Funny, I think the bases offered by JetBlue, Virgin America, and Allegiant are horrible, and Delta and Spirit have decent bases. What's garbage to you is someone else's home.

Of course it hurts recruiting. Skywest just by virtue of their bases get hundreds of more applicants.

They missed their hiring numbers last year. They missed it in January. This is the first month they have meet their goal. It is still unlikely they will hit their yearly numbers.

Except we aren't talking about JetBlue, VA, Allegiant or Delta or Spirit. We are talking about Compass, Skywest, Endeavor, Republic, PSA, GoJet, Mesa, etc. Great, you live in Detroit, most people who aren't from Michigan don't want to live in Detroit. That hurts recruiting. New hires still can't afford NY, that hurts recruiting. That is the point, not that your home is garbage.
