With -200 and -900 in all bases going forward, bid for the -200 in your choice of base. Once you hold the base you want on the -200, bid the -900 in the base you want once you DO hold a LINE there.
DO NOT bid for an aircraft over a base. Get your base, then seniority, THEN the aircraft. The -900 is nice, but a line and easier commute will result in higher pay and QOL. Same with upgrades. Too many folks are concerned with the AC and completely miss QOL and pay in the process. 75 hour guarantee on reserve for the -900 makes far less net compared to a line on the -200, with more days off to boot. It's the same type rating folks. We aren't talking a B747 vs C152 here.
I'll bet $20 that in 12-18 months, it's all one category (dual qual) and Co-domicile in NYC anyway. Fly the -200, move to the -900, and take the first upgrade. If nothing else, when you sit in the left seat, everything is familiar.

Correct? Starting Monday. Thanks again!
Also, I should mention that holding a line is more important to me than having MSP right off the bat.

If you want MSP because you live near there, I would try to get MSP in either aircraft over having a line quickly. Having a line quickly is nice, but it can't make up for the amount of suck that commuting to reserve is versus being on reserve in base even if it's for a longer time. If you're commuting either way, then go for what will get you a line quicker.

I would bid MSP 900 second if I were you. The difference in reserve times between DTW and MSP should be minimal, and I don't know if playing musical bases and commutes is worth a couple months difference. But that's just me.

Yup. You can always change it on the next bid if Msp is more important compared to a line. You can drop M9F (MSP -900 FO) into slot 2 if you decide the base it more important.

But one should also consider reserve times too. 200 reserve time will be considerably less than 900 reserve, right? Age makes all the difference in the world, as well as one's plans after (if there IS an after) Endeavor.
But as always, living in base beats other options, hands down.

I'm pretty sure we need TSO'd headsets, so no Lightspeed.
I'm also in the market for headsets. I've been eyeing the David Clark Pro-X (would appreciate an opinion on these).
Also as far as luggage, go with the LuggageWorks. You could do Stealth series, but I've talked to others saying the Aviator series is almost just as good as long as you treat it ok.
