I'm also in the market for headsets. I've been eyeing the David Clark Pro-X (would appreciate an opinion on these).

Also as far as luggage, go with the LuggageWorks. You could do Stealth series, but I've talked to others saying the Aviator series is almost just as good as long as you treat it ok.
I've used the pro x headset for over a year now. No problems. I use rechargeable batteries. I bought mine on ebay new for 575. I think they run 700 or more in the stores.

Same here, been using the DC pro X since I hit the line 6 months ago. It's a great headset. got mines off amazon for $620.

Thanks! I've heard great things about the DC Pro-X.

Correct? Starting Monday. Thanks again!

Also, I should mention that holding a line is more important to me than having MSP right off the bat.
Sitting reserve at home beats commuting to a line... I've done both, and would take reserve over a commute every time.

Agreed I'm not sure why anyone would think line over home base is a good idea, I live in base on reserve on the 900 but can hold a line on the 200. Trust me live in base you're not going to sit more than 6 months of reserve as an FO. Finally some of the captains that have been on reserve forever are now holding lines or close to it. Keep hiring 60 a month and you new folks will be seeing the left seat quicker than you think

MSP -900 is still a long time for reserve. I'm a 6/15 hire and could just hold a line in April. I was off reserve in 6 weeks on the -200.

You would want both 200/900 MSP as your first two choices...

Yeah sorry, I guess it didn't register that someone would choose to be based somewhere other than home if they had the choice.
