I humbly accept your great wisdom and thank you for your compliment. You're right, she's completely not worth the time, and is now on ignore. Thanks again.

Hey everyone. What's the story with the retention bonus payment? Yes, I hate to be that guy asking. I'm deployed and find myself in much more austere conditions than I was told to expect, so I'm having trouble figuring out what is going on with the company. I've tried reading memos and updates, but haven't seen anything. I was on property and flying for part of 2016, so I should get some money. Thanks in advance. If I'm being thick and I missed something, I apologize.

The payment should be here May 15-20.
This payment is for any flying from Jan 1 - April 30

My (admittedly limited) understanding is that you are only paid for time that you are on property and flying as an "Active" pilot. Meaning, Mil and long term sick leave seniority list pilots won't get the full payout. Instead, they are pro-rated for whatever time they were in fact listed as active. You may want to inquire though whether or not you get the payment at the same time as everyone else (2nd -3rd week of May for the first check of 2016) or if you get it when you come back on as active.
In addition, my understanding is that new hires are no longer receiving the retention bonus and are instead receiving a sign-on or new hire bonus after they complete training. They start receiving the retention year 2.
Can anybody confirm that?

The MEC turned down Delta's offer of the uSSP because at the time, upgrades for us looked closer to 3-4 years and they didn't want us to have to wait for that length of time. Now, obviously in hind sight, it would have been a pretty good deal. If I had to put a bet on it I'd say that we'll just get lumped in with the DGI group eventually when we get closer to that two years of captain service. Our time will come, reluctant patience is the key right now.
Latest is we are getting the original terms of the Ussp back, or at least that is what the Union is "trying" for.

The email said a deal not worse than the current Delta Guaranteed Interview agreement. What are the details of that agreement? It seems to me that the uSSP was a worse case deal, no deal is going to be worse than that deal and they keep implying that the original uSSP deal is still on the table. Either way, it sounds like a deal will be made public next week so your very vocal minority group will be appeased and finally silenced.
