They're not "investing" in us or getting us "qualified" at all. All they are doing is saving 100-150k a year, per pilot, to do the same things they do and fly their routes for them. As far as being qualified, most of us are. It doesn't take 7-9 years, as a lot of pilots here have been waiting, to be qualified to fly for Delta. This is about the easiest flying there is. All that stuff about waiting being a good thing is garbage.
Just because we have atp mins doesn't mean we're qualified in their eyes.
And that's what matters.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm 1000% sure we are qualified in THEIR eyes. It's politics not ability that's separating us. Most of us are aware the entire regional industry will either disappear or reconfigure in the coming years.

I would like to know what is it that Endeavor and Delta are doing with the money to get you "qualified" for Delta? I didn't feel anymore "qualified" for Delta, while flying as an Endeavor pilot and being owned by Delta as opposed to being a Pinnacle pilot flying for Northwest.

Military guys get hired because they have a good track record, a lot of Delta guys are prior military so they know what they've been through, they've already passed very intense training (and can do it again), and most have been though combat and horrible weather and can handle a little traffic/turbulence/emergency without losing their ******.

I'm not trying to compare or say "world's greatest pilots." Just saying from my perspective/opinion. And yes, DTW is jacked up. I mean, who changes the ATIS code :15 past the hour with NO changes?!? Even the Zulu time is the same! And then complains that you don't have the right code?!?
