So will NYC remain a 900 base? Dont want to go through the interview process if NYC will not be a base option. LGA and JFK bases are the only reason I'd be interested in Endeavor. Thanks!

Where are people getting the idea that bases are closing? Yes. NYC is and will continue to be a base. 2 bases, actually, and the most junior ones at that. If they move the 200s back out then the 200 pilots effected have displacement rights and can switch equipment and/or seats to wherever their seniority holds.

Closing? Probably not. But I do get the feeling that Delta will be moving to mostly two class configurations out of NY. Right now they are transitioning to the 200's as Shutle is parking the E145's during their bankruptcy. My feeling is they were planning for this for quite some time as our 200's were not parked for long term storage. I also feel that they have something else in mind for NY other than the new 100 series. Who knows, maybe they'll finally address GoJet's abysmal performance. All this is pure speculation on my part

NYC is here to stay for at least the next two years. After that, who the heck knows.

But that is about on par with stability anywhere else.

Network planning came into my upgrade class as well. NYC basing isn't going anywhere in the foreseeable future. The presence of the 200 base in NY though...current plan is 18-24 months until the next unknown (to us) plan is executed.

I think it's cool delta posted praise towards our airline on the intranet. What say the pessimists? Haha

They would likey say that after they published said praise, they immediately began their plan to reject all remaining SSP candidates.
