Is there anything in our contract language that allows me to "skip" recurrent and just go for the upgrade training? The training cycle just doesn't make sense to me. Anyone who have been in this similar situation or currently in it right now?
I seem to recall some people trying to do this recently. They weren't able to do it as the upgrade allegedly doesn't check all the boxes of recurrent. But my memory of the conversation might be off. I'd contact training about it.

Don't think so. Not exactly the same but I had buddies who did differences 200 to 900 within a year and still had to do recurrent.

CQ (recurrent) and upgrade don't check the same boxes so you will still need to do recurrent.

Exactly, your base month will remain the same

I wonder how Envoys announcement of reopening a NYC base(s) will affect pilot hiring at 9E.

^^^ Truth....
If the bonus were rolled into the pay scale making the salaries nearly equal the seemingly better schedules, reserve, upgrades etc. at Endeavor should keep them in good shape.

Mainly the lack of hazmat and security training is the reason this is a no go.

The bonus is a better deal, I would rather see the bonus extended than higher pay rates.

I would agree, on the months when I stick with my 75 hr line. But not the 120+ credit months. Looks like you enjoy days off and I can respect that, but pay rates would better for most; that is, the right pay rates would be better for most. Rsv not so much unfortunately. Maybe raise the min guarantee for those guys.

How about raise the hourly rates so it's a break even at min guarantee. Win for everyone, problem solved.
