Heard our callsign is finally changing to EDV "Endeavor" on 10/27.

Hi everyone. Just joined the forum because something's been eating at me since I joined endeavor and I wanted to hear your opinions. I've been here around 9 months now and before you say it, I know I wasn't here for the dark times before. I know I haven't "done my time" here but I did my time in the military and just got out. I know there are union guys on here and I want to get your side of things too. It came to a head when I asked two different union guys recently about the new pay scale for the American regionals. What I was told by both of them was, to paraphrase, is that we have it better because their pay scale is full of all these different kinds of bonuses and that their flow is not true flow. Each conversation went on for about five minutes but that is the general idea of them. What I realized when talking to them is that, if I close my eyes and listen, it sounds like the company was talking to me and trying to convince me of how good I've got it, instead of a union guy who represents me. Has anyone else had a conversation like this with a union guy recently? Does it seem to anybody else that the union is representing the company, and not the pilots?

I'm not at, nor ever been at Endeavor, but all I can say is what you experienced is quite common with unions. A lot of the time I feel I'm a servant to two masters. Welcome to world of union politics where often times the end justifies the means.

I know it might sound foolish or naïve but I really thought the union guy was going to say something like "great, isn't it? We're going to management to get them to up the pay scale and yada yada better stuff for you." But alas.

I guess my broader point was that I've been in your shoes and it's just part of the 121 learning curve. It's unfortunate we have to trust but verify our own unions.

I'm back again with some questions I couldn't find answered elsewhere, sorry for interrupting. What does a typical schedule look like as far as trips? Are there more day trips or multi-day? If you commute to base and get a day trip, I'm assuming you're stuck for a hotel room since it's in base correct?

Majority of trips are 4 day trips but there is a mix of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 day trips. You can bid what you want in PBS.

What are the chances of voting them out if they do the exact opposite of their charter?
