Lots of back and fourth in the last few pages about what one can expect to make off min credit and first year FO pay out of NYC. For a single dude, can anybody else chime in and verify what one could expect to bring home based off minimum credit? I'm young, single, would like to pick up as much open time as possible. Would rather be flying or at least sitting rsv while I'm eating my $8 NYC bagel. If you want to shlub it at 75hrs/month, have at it. I want to work. Just would like a verified figure on how much I can expect so I can start budgeting now.
Thanks in advance

Absolute min, 37.5hrs X $30/hr = $1,125
$1,125 - FED, NYS, NYC, Health ins, Uniform = $712.50
This is the absolute min that you could expect BOTH checks to be.
If you fly, pick up tons of open time or reserve days (like I do), then your BIG check could be a lot larger. But also your tax bracket goes up and you will be paying about 43% tax. Also keep in mind that you may get some money back on your federal refund but will owe about $800 bucks on NYC/NYS income tax. Been living here for 20 years and always wind up paying more every year even claimin 0 dependants.
