I've talked to FO's with questions who don't bother calling their mentor because they know the person won't know the answer. But I've also heard they can get pretty overloaded. Doesn't sound like the program has been all that successful. But who knows.
It turned into one pilot telling everyone to wear their hat. Pretty embarassing, especially when the new hires found out they didnt even have to buy the hat.
