I am! Yeah I’m in the cup cake phase but I made some moves to get the 175 and made some personal sacrifices to get it. I didn’t sit on my butt and do nothing about it, I went out and got it knowing it would give me much better QOL instead of getting screwed. Sometimes you make your fate by giving yourself options I guess.

With that being said not everyone can do that, if I could make the crj and 145 as great as the 175 I would, but I’m just a pee on so one could only hope.

P.S Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Pretty sure luck or age played a much more vital role in you getting the 175 rather than “working hard” to get it.

Typical. Try being positive man instead of trying to bring people down with crap.

I understand the luck part but it doesn’t matter what age you are. As I said before most don’t have the luxury of being flexible because of responsibilities, but just because someone got “lucky” doesn’t mean you have be salty about it.

And you know nothing about me or anybody on here really. So don’t write off someone’s work ethic when you don’t even know them, that’s why these forums get toxic across all the airline boards. You make your own luck when you put in work.

I wish I worked hard enough to make enough luck to get the 175.

If you look at his posts, he became an Envoy cadet, virtually assuring he would get the 175. (Except for that one class a while back that didn’t have any 175s. Boy, I bet those cadets have some choice words...)

Which aircraft show up in class is on the same luck level as a scratch off lottery ticket. Becoming a cadet isn’t “working hard” for anything. Its selling yourself to the company hoping your luck pays off.

Haha I’m not salty at all. I just think it’s funny that you’re trying to shame other FOs who didn’t get the 175 on the grounds of they didn’t work hard enough to get it.

When the hell did I ever say that? I literally said if I could change others fate of the crj or 145 I would but can’t that’s why I made moves for myself.

I’m not shaming other FO’s, everyone worked hard to get to this point of their careers.

Not really... everybody today worked 1/4 as much as those senior CA’s the newer generation likes to crap on. They slugged it out in B1900’s for 4500 hours before getting a job flying a Saab or ATR. Then got to fly E145’s when they were new and still being built. Then got trapped in that plane due to 9-11 and a lost decade. I’m sure they didn’t plan a career in regional aircraft any more than you have.
