Not every single airline has lines like this. Airlines that have a min day guarantee don't like paying their pilots 4+ hours to not fly on a lost day. They also don't like paying them 4 hours to only fly 1. They rearrange their schedules to fly more each day, which leads to pilots having more days off.

Going through bid packets, I haven't seen any 4 day trips in single digits, but I have seen them at 11 and 12 hours which is practically as bad. There are plenty in the 14-16 hour range.

Since almost all lines are built to the 72 hour min guarantee, this is significant because at 18 hours, you can get your min at 4 4-day trips and have 14 days off a month to either work OT or be with your family. At 16 hours, you are looking at working 5 4-day trips each month with min 11 days off. This creates a pattern where your flying always carries over into the next month.

The United Pilot Recruitment Team is pleased to announce a Pilot Career Expo at our Denver Flight Training Center (FTC) on September 10 and 11, 2019. This event, by invitation only, will give those who are invited an opportunity to meet with members of the United Pilot Recruitment team and review his or her employment background.

Individuals interested in attending this event should ensure your AirlineApps.com profile is current and updated. We will begin notifying selected applicants in July
.

Just in case someone did not get this email from airline apps. If new hires stop showing up for class usually a company is motivated to increase compensation. Another good and legal way without messing with RLA is if pilots start getting hired elsewhere, company has to find a way to retain people. (Throw money at those who stay)

If y’all haven’t, I think it’s a good idea to start cleaning your apps.

Good luck

Spoke with someone ITK.

I stand with the union. The company is trying to ******* us to prove their worth to AAG.

Option 1: Hold out

Option 2: Take "the money" *eye roll*, give concessions and STILL be the lowest paid WO carrier.

Then the mec must go public and inform the pilots they represent.
Staying quiet only assists mgt.

They can't.

The company put forth NDA rules as a requirement to enter negotiations at all.

It sounds like amateur hour on here and I feel sorry for the MEC having to listen to all these new guys moan and B**** nonsense.

Unfortunately I think it’s going to take more than holding out.

Agree.
This isn't some business to business contract with trade secrets involved.

This is a negotiation process with a labor Union, established under federal laws. I don't know how being forced into NDAs can be a reasonable requirement to represent all union members.
