What is the current timeline when a CA can get back to DFW? I'd rather sit on my couch on reserve instead of sitting in some crashpad on reserve.

Looking at the latest vacancy bid, it's going to stay at around 16-18 months from DOH to hold DFW CA.
If you come in as zero qualifying time FO, you might have to commute for a couple of months as an FO, and after that can likely stay in DFW for the rest of your time here.
If you're a direct entry captain then, well, there's no reason to come here.

On the current seniority list, the junior DFW captain is a 1/2018 hire.

3.B in the contract describes it. It's 3 pages long so it's easier if you just read it yourself.
As a synopsis, they calculate how many pilots are required to staff the fleets (using metrics like historic pilot-to-block hour ratios etc), and everyone senior to that number gets the C band pay regardless of the plane type they fly.
So more 175s = more pilots required to staff the fleet = the C band goes more junior.
July 1st the seniority cutoff was 504. Next update is October 1st.
We only have B and C bands, because A band was 60-70 seat Turboprop CA scale.

We’re gonna lose 10 CRJ’s this year and only take a few more 175’s. If a pilot hasn’t made to the higher band, they could be waiting a while.

CRJ v 175 out-in ratio is pretty much 1:1 this year. Next year it will get better, but not by much.

If 140s are gonna get parked as rapidly as some are saying here, 1.5 yrs of reserve is going to go up, not down, for FOs permanently seat locked on this dying fleet.
That said, I doubt it will be as bad. How many 175s is Republic adding each month?
