Yes it expired end of Feb. The only guy I talked to that bid reserve in this time range said over half of the flying he was given was appropriated.

Who is it that thinks this kind of stuff is a good idea, and whose interests are really being represented? We really have to start forcing a vote on everything.

Since I was one of the ones that was “assisted” with time, I was not happy, BUT as I understand we were the sacrificial lambs that got everyone CA pay at bid award.

So you want a vote on every MIDT that is requested? You want to vote on every grievance that is settled? You want to vote on every incidental LOA? Get ready for the MEC to spend millions on roadshows.

Exactly. People complain now about the speed of the MEC, could you imagine if they had to run every single thing by the pilot group for a vote...

The current language only requires a pilot vote for "significant" changes to pay or working conditions..... and in the exact words of the ALPA attorney to the MEC members… "it is this body here that determines the meaning of the word 'significant'."

They also are supposed to post all LOA's for 10 days to allow pilots to review and provide feeback before voting. They routinely vote to waive the required posting period, then vote right away.

The rules are too loose. They negotiate for months and in some cases, years.... but can't give the LOA the light of day for pilots to review it for 10 days? That should tell you all you need to know right there.

Kind of ridiculous the Ricky goes into new hire classes and captain upgrade dinners running his mouth about how this is all ALPA’s fault, but the company won’t let the NC have PU to work on the whole thing.
