If you are looking for the contractual reference it’s section 12 and I’m pretty sure it’s on page two or four about three or four paragraphs down.

I’m glad I scrolled down after I read his post. I was about to say the say thing you did.

If you are on probation or within two years of flowing I’d play it safe and just call them back whenever they call you on RAP or SB to confirm your next day reserve assignment.

Therein lies the problem. Two years of flowing shouldn’t even be close to a danger zone. If you’re contractually protected then so be it. I admit that I am more apt to call them out on their BS regardless of how close I am to flowing.

Agreed. ..... but I have been burned before by union advice like this.

Any idea when we'll see an updated interactive seniority list that takes into account the most recent vacancy? Trying to determine whether or not to swap bases in order to hold a line.

Afraid of your own shadow much? Calling back means you won't get the MA. Telling them you don't consent gets you out of the RAP1 that you didn't ask for.

Can this be done though? Where does it say we can refuse to be released into rest?

I regret not trying this. They illegally released me early a bunch of times, I'd just refresh CCI and see my SB or RAP with a different sign-out. Guarantee if you call, refuse the early release, and demand a supervisor you'll be rewarded with a recording of them admitting they can't release you early without consent and adjusting your report time the following day. I never actually wanted to ditch an AM assignment on anything other than my first day though, so I never had an incentive to play the game.

You need to go read it yourself or you are going to get yourself in big trouble. It's in section 12.
