Or you could take the easy way out and just wear the mask.

that’s not the issue here and you know it.

He’s a MESA pilot. So he has no frame of reference here. He’s like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...

I've been telling FAs for some time I would like the door closed because masks in the cockpit is inappropriate and I don't want ignorant Karen's making complaints. Every single FA. None of them has argued, most forget a lot. One or two wanted to know 'why' and I showed them our union email from when it was fist communicated to us that some FAs are making complaints.

If one actually tried to take a picture of me after giving such a brief... they wouldn't be flying with me any more.

Envoy 2021: A New Hope

My technique is such that I go masks on in the flight deck when pax start to board. When the close-out and pax count is received, masks come off (if my FO or co-captain agree). Restroom break in flight? Masks on till complete. Then, I go masks off chugging a cold brew at the overnight. No weird tone set with my crew by keeping door shut. No opportunity for pictures taken of me maskless at work, or any reason created unintentionally by me for anyone to be out to get me. (Miss me with that BS) Try it. It works.

I just go headsets off most of the time anyways, so when it’s time for a weezer break, I just put the mask back on while the FA is chaperoning me till slick gets back in the seat and door is closed up again.

Maybe leverage this pandemic to get FAs out of the cockpit.

Or maybe make the FA’s cadets, pay for their flight training, give them all the perks, and any some point give them two type ratings so that they can tell us how they are now in charge because they are dual qualified.

RN and RW just exchanged a text message saying “They’re on to us”.

Had a FA come in the flight deck and tell me to call operations to take the PCA off and start the APU ASAP. Let’s just say that trip didn’t end well
