Probably trying to get people to not be stupid on social media. The training hotel debacle is probably keeping everyone busy as well

How pathetic is it, the company waited until the end of the day to release everyone after freezing their a$&es off at the training hotel. So f$&king dumb. “Go home, if you can.” There aren’t any flights left to go home on. *eyeroll*

CS resorting to using personal cell phones to contact pilots shows how desperate they are. I am not defending them, AA should really have backup generators at their SoC and CS offices. It would seem almost irresponsible NOT to have backup generators. |

pic share What an absolutely dreadful showing by the company. Reading the base page for DFW makes me have zero faith in who is running multiple departments. Telling crews across the entire network to figure it out on their own is just pathetic. Treat others the way you would want to be treated... |
Completely pathetic.
A dangerous situation in these hotels without power with pilots afraid to leave for a MA. Management needs to be held accountable for this. JE especially if the rumors are true. |
Shame on you ClappedOut145 that is a real person in the snow. Your experience was nothing like that and you’ve lost all sympathy.

I find this all crazy fascinating. How in the world SOC doesn't have backup generators is beyond me. For those you who haven't been, Dispatch, MOC, Crew Scheduling, etc... they're all in one big room. That's a pretty dang important important chunk of the company.
Also, I'd always assumed hotels had backup generators. Can't remember ever having power issues at a hotel before. Ever. The grocery store I worked at when I was in high school a few decades ago, it had a backup generator. But Envoy SOC? |
