From a couple other people on various posts classes seemed to be mostly non121 the past month with only a couple people each class having previous 121. My friend was a cadet at atp who just went to ctp and was the only person from envoy there. There’s definitely a hierarchy and priority system but no telling what it is also just of note my friend also doesn’t have a class date and envoy wouldn’t confirm one till after ctp which was two weeks ago
Imo they are giving priority to previous hires awaiting class. Those that were backlogged and given the orientation and on payroll but awaiting class. Then 121 then cadets. As more previous 121 and cadets come online awaiting class they jump the queue of those waiting for for a date with lower priority. So you’ve already done ATP/CTP with envoy? No I still need ctp. I’m not waiting for envoy though. I have 2 more interviews set up next week and if someone offers me a start date I’m taking it.

Send them an email with your CJO Start Date from the competition and maybe that will get ya in class sooner?
On a side not I was in the interview last week as well 1 of 3 CFI's and 1 other commercial pilot. All others at the interview were prior 121 or some amount of experience. The briefing during the interview they told the 121 guys they would be in class within the next month where as the guys that were off the street we got told expect October or November, (one mentioned could be September). So I have no idea what we are looking at class wise. It does seem the 121 guys are getting the priority. |

I wonder if this will work or if they know they are paying and have a plethora of people and wont care. Just curious on what their mentality would be on this.

If the guy/girl really wants Envoy but is definitely going to take a class date sooner at another Regional, then try it and see. Since his/her mind has already been made that they were going elsewhere, if Envoy doesn’t get them a class date, no harm/no foul.
Side note from the other response above. If envoy is now telling you it’ll be 3-4 months expect 6-8. They’ve been telling people up till last month there was no wait when in reality it was closer to 2 months. Like I said earlier. No only do they have a backlog of people who are on payroll waiting for indoc but they have others who requested class dates ahead of you and on top of that they have more cadets reaching mins everyday and prior 121 applicants interviewing that’ll jump the line and extend how long till class |

What’s the turnaround time from applying to conditional offer for prior 121 applicants?

The bonus/pay calculator Envoy has shows you get 7,500 for a E175 type rating under option “0-500 hrs” but another section of the website stated that you don’t get it unless you have 750 hours in that type, can anyone confirm who received that bonus?

Is there a threshold to how much time you need 121 for a conditional offer vs going in for a face to face interview?
Been out of the 121 game since ‘18 but have 6700ish hours of it. CJO in my inbox before 10am eastern the next day. As the saying goes, your mileage may vary. |

Simulator eval at interview?
Hey, does anyone know if the interview includes a simulator flight for non-current applicants? According to the gouge on AviationInterviews.com, applicants with no flight hours in the last year were required to do a sim ride, but I'm not sure how current these reports are. It seems most interviews have moved away from sims.
I hope this is a good place to put my question, I think I can't start a new thread because I'm new here. |
Not 100% sure how things are currently but when I interviewed in 2017 I didn’t have 100 hours for the previous year. I did the sim eval during the interview. The Frasca is set up as a Baron and I basically flew a box pattern, ILS to a full stop with a Jepp brief. No gotchas and very straight forward.

It’s been about 2 years since I’ve flown. No sim ride, no interview. Just a logbook review and drug testing in Dallas. Pretty chill. Class date offer about 2-3 weeks later.

Pilot Recruiting
For those who didn’t get an overnight CJO, how long to be contacted for an interview?
Anyone get a TBNT without interviewing or just ghosted? Just got the thanks for applying but we are really busy email. Applied 4 days ago. |

If I may ask, when is the class date? |
So I received an email a week ago saying they would be happy to schedule my ATP-CTP (starting every M-W-F) and to sign and return a letter of commitment. I returned the LOC and replied I could start as soon as the following Monday- local, no flight needed. Honestly I thought I might be making headway despite the 121 influx. Now I get an email saying “we have what we need, we’ll contact you when we open up ATP-CTP scheduling again.”
Great. Now you have my signed commitment, but don’t call us, we’ll call you. Sure wish I had an idea if it was going to be 3 months, 6 months, indefinite. |

Because they are saying whatever they need to to get you in the door as far as they can get you and drag you along till it comes time to pony up and actually bring you on board.

New to the forums :-)
I was not clear on candidates with prior 121 time and that get a CJO within a few days of applying to Envoy. Do they still have to do a formal interview? or they just show up at HQ to finish background, fingerprints, docs, etc. without interview?

After going to Hq and finishing up new hire paperwork and PRIAs, and everything clears, how long before you get an invite for orientation? Thanks!

They aren’t doing orientations anymore. When you go in, it will be to start indoc. Envoy was bringing people in to get them in the hook. With more people now than they can train, they have no reason to start paying you until they are ready to train you.

Before anyone asks, I am 121. Only did logbook review, finger prints, pee test and a lot of paperwork. |
If you don’t have any prior 121 you’re out of luck until that dries up
