Pilot Recruiting

Seems like they have been doing that for those with prior 121 or some kind of qualifying time.

Looking for some career advice. I received a CJO with no prior 121 experience in June, completed ATP-CTP, and was slotted for a July orientation before being told it was cancelled. I know the company is prioritizing prior 121 pilots, and I'm curious if it's worth waiting for Envoy to call.
I was told I could probably expect to wait until the end of the year. I also have an offer from Skywest with a possible September start date.
Do you guys think it's worth waiting for Envoy without any certainty of a start date or would you take the sure thing at Skywest? Short term goal is securing a Chicago base, longer term I'm trying to get to any of the legacy carriers.
Thanks

I got the CJO within about 24 hours. I do have about 2000 hours 121 time and typed in the 175. Are they not doing true DECs? You’re hired as an FO then awarded in clas or something? Guess it doesn’t matter if you’re making CA pay as an FO over 750 hours. Just curious.
